Enjoy an ATV safari tour. Explore the exotic and extreme scenery of Svalbard on this tour through the Advent valley. This is an excellent place to look for local wildlife. If you are lucky you might spot both the Svalbard reindeers and Arctic foxes.
Have an insight to the contrast-filled polar summer. The area between SSU and the dog yard is occupied by birds in the summer and covered with lots of nests. From here on the guided ATV tour will start. During the summer mountains will be covered in beautiful warm tones by the midnight sun. During mid-August the polar night will take over for the long, bright nights. In autumn the colors will change and the sky is painted by the sunset in beautiful pastels.
Between Adventdalen to Breinosa stops will be made at various cultural monuments and mine 7, that testify to a 100-year-long era of mining. On the way you can see reindeers grazing on the nutrient-rich soil in the swamp along the road. With a bit of luck, it is possible to see foxes sneaking in the area in hope to find food among thousands of birds and eggs. Be open for a rich eco-community and beautiful, colorful, small plants.
From the lookout point on Breinosa you will enjoy the view towards the city. On the way back the guide will lead you to Svalbard Husky where a group of energic and social sled dogs will greet you and hope to receive cuddles from their guests.
